Egypt recovers stolen Bust!

Zahi Hawass, Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), talks in front of one of two rock-hewn painted Old Kingdom tombs recently discovered, 20 meters below the ground level in tact, on July 8, 2010, at Saqqara necropolis.

According to Dr. Zahi Hawass an artifact stolen from Egypt is being returned from Canada. Canadian Authorities are co-operating fully in returning the Greco-Roman marble bust. The bust was in the care of Heritage Canada Foundation since 2007 when it was confiscated.

We only know at this stage that the figure is 13 cm tall.

This is only a drop in the water compared to all the artifacts that have yet to be recovered from other Countries! Such as the Rosetta Stone, the Nefertiti bust in Berlin, etc.

I will keep you posted on this matter, and when any more details on this bust is revealed!
